My 16 year old asked me to go online a month ago to get us signed up for a Saturday. Super proud of this kid. He's got such a huge heart.

I have voliunteered at the food bank about 6 times so far. I will say the people working there are very concerned that you are safe and have a good time. I worked in the kitchen. They do no not let actually cook anything. You are assembling part of a lunch for a child. Yesterday, I got to put one hot dog roll into a single use plastic bag. I did that for two and half hours. It was beyond boring. They excort you into the kitchen through the warehouse and also out again when you leave. Everyone you encounter is friendly and nice. They always thank you when you leave for the time you spent there. I have a background in food service. So what I have done on each occasion is not something that really interested me. I will say they are the easiest organization fo volunteer for. Watch a video and then pick the day and time you want to come out and help them. It is an excellent cause and I am sure they are really helping people, but in the future I will try the marketplace.

Great place and overall organization! Was able to provide some of my time to the Md Food Bank to assist people who need these services. The work environment is very relaxed and the coffee machine in the breakroom is phenomenal lol

I’m so mad right now the person that’s driving a green truck a big tall dark skin man just dropped my food off. He was so rude. I answered my call bell and he said come get your food bank box so I buzzed him in he just threw it at the front door and left. I don’t know if I’ll get my food or not because I just had hip surgery and I can’t get it but he would have known if he didn’t just drop and go. My apt is on the first floor. All I can say is God please deal with that mean man.

As a truck driver I can literally say I've never been talked to so disrespectfully in my life! Couldn't even get a word in all he e did was talk all loud and belligerent. I will never come back to this facility and will spread the word. He will probably just make me sit here all day until he feels ready to unload me this is pathetic added response... it was actually due yesterday but the DC food bank held me all day so not my fault. My issue is the way I was talked to. Also myself and the broker called multiple times yesterday and left messages to try and get an appointment for today and nobody responded. I have no problem waiting.. that is practically in my job description but the communication skills that you all have are terrible.
